Pre-wedding photoshoot (22/07/08)

July 22nd, 2008 by kitputt

Preparation for guy

Actually I’m quite surprised that Ronald is not so bo-chap for this photoshoot event. He went shopping himself & bought 3 new shirts, 2 new ties, 2 cuff links, I new Seiko watch, I pair of new black shoes & made a new pair of specs.

Preparation for me

I din prepare much..just go for facial, back treatment, waxing for full arm (not good..painful & my skin is too sensitive), colour my hair & went for pedi & manicure. Oh ya..I had a hard time looking for my wedding shoes & I finally bought it at $65 at Cityplaza.

Actual photoshoot

It was cloudy & looked like going to rain in the morning. We were worried that our outdoor shoot will be affected.

Went to the bridal studio at 1030 after breakfast. I went there without applying anything on my face except toner (so that the makeup artist aka MUA can apply the ampoules on my face).

The MUA applied makeup for us & styled our hair. Then we proceed to discuss our photoshoot style with the Photographer, Ah Soon.

We had 5 gowns & hairstyles. We also took some pictures with poker cards like God of Gamble…he he ( this is my idea as we go to friend’s hse for mahjong & poker session almost every week ever since we are dating each other…and I feel that it contributes to this relationship).

These are some of the pictures took by our digi cam…some are not so nice…need to consider my gown selection for the actual day.

In conclusion, we enjoyed the day though it’s tiring (Ronald really perspired alot during the outdoor shoot). The photographer is not bad, at least he joked with us to make us laughed during the session.

Thanks dear…u really made my day! Let’s cross my fingers that all pictures will be presentable (:p)

Final fitting b4 Photo Shoot

July 18th, 2008 by kitputt

Today Ronald & I went to the bridal studio to try my gowns & did a trial makeup. 2 gowns needs further alteration.

My co-ordination cum make-up artist, Candy, also let Ronald try out a suit & get his measurement.

This is one of my gown. Din manage to get the take a picture of my evening gown as it needs to be altered..too tight  :p

We also had made a list on the things to do & bring on 22/07/08 for our photo shoot. Let’s cross my fingers that everything will go through smoothly.

HDB 1st appointment (27/06/08)

June 29th, 2008 by kitputt

I’m very excited today..it’s our first step to obtaining our new flat. I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep last night. I slept at 5am & woke up at 8.30am.

We met the seller & the agent at HDB Hub nearing 10.30am. The agent, Robin, was busy calling as he forgotten to bring the declaration form.

We gotta have some small chats with the Sellers, Mr & Mrs Tan (Eric Tan). They told that they are not happy with the agent as he is irresponsible and not reliable. They found out that they don’t earn a profit from this sale.

Robin informed that their secretary has lost the declaration form & need the couple to sign the form again. Here comes the agony, the couple is dragging to sign the form..they have the intention to withdraw the sale as they are not earning profit.

Ronald is very worried that they really withdraw the sale & we gotta start the house hunting again which is very very troublesome.

They finally agreed to proceed with the sale after 1 hour of waiting. What a relieve!!

Finally we can proceed further on the sale. Hopefully there will be no more hicups. Thinking abt it…our marriage doesn’t come easy…we’ve been through a few hurddles to get things done.

I’m okay now (26/05/08)

Last mth my ultrasound showed that there was a polyp along the endometrium lining. The doctor actually suggested that I go for hysterectomy. They arranged an appointment 3 mths later but I brought forward the appointment to today.

I’ve done a abdomen & pelvic ultrasound today & the results showed that the polyp is no longer there. (Yeah!!) Doctor explained that my menses may have flushed away the polyp. No need to do the scope liao.

Finally we got a 5 rm flat!

06/05/08

We viewed this block abt 2 weeks ago at Tampines near the swimming pool. We like the layout & made the offer $28K cash over valuation.

We waited for the valuation report for 2 weeks & it is finally ready today. We met the property agent, Robin, to exercise the option just now.

Before we signed on the dotted line, luckily Robin called the house owner to confirm the offer. To our dismay, the owner told him that his wife’s friend also offered them $30K COV. We were caught off guard.

Not to delay the negotiation further, we decided to go down & talk to the owner face to face. Robin persuaded the owner that we are very sincere in buying the unit & highlighted the disadvantages of the conditions mentioned by their friend of trading on "contra".

Finally the owner agreed on the deal after we topped our offer to $30K to match the counter-offer.

I’m so excited, finally I’m going to have my own room (I’ve been staying in a 2 rm flat & sleep with my mom & sis all these years)!!

We really look forward to be a genuine houseowner in another 2 months’ time. We have started to plan on renovation work that we wanna do liao.

oh no…I gotta save more money to contribute to the house since my dear husband-to-be has been paying most of the wedding expenses including the house. I din pay anything yet at this juncture.

Let’s cross my fingers & hope that all things will go through smoothly.

Gown selection part 2 (14/408)

April 14th, 2008 by kitputt

Hmm… today is a tiring, fruitful & scary day. Below is the events of the day:

  • 8:45am - Went to SGH O&G for follow up on my Pelvic Ultrasound. Result indicate that I’ve a 6mm Endometrium polyp. Doc recommended me to go for a Hysteroscopy.

Hysteroscopy is a procedure that allows a gynecologist to look inside your uterus. The hysteroscope is a long tube, about the size of a straw, which has a built-in viewing device. Hysteroscopy is useful for diagnosing and treating some problems that cause infertility, miscarriages, and abnormal menstrual bleeding.

  • ard 10:15am - Went to Bukit Merah Polyclinic for my regular 6 mthly Hep B blood test…pain pain but fast.
  • 12:00pm - Went to Tangs for window shopping
  • 1pm - Met Ronald for Lunch at Waterloo coffee shop..hmm…I miss their Dumpling soup & Guava with dried orange skin.
  • 2pm - Went to Robsinson to buy Nu’bra for the wedding & facial cleansing oil.
  • 3pm - Went to bridal shop to choose gowns.

Gown I secretly took a photo of 1 gown that I tried while the co-ordinator was away to choose other gowns for me. But I din choose this one and I’ve no chance to take another photo.

I’ve chosen 2 wedding gowns (bustier & halter), 1 outdoor gown (2 piece) & 2 evening gowns (dark blue & pink tube) for photo shot. I’ve also chosen 1 ‘kua’ for the tea ceremony. I think I’ve tried more than 20 gowns today..it’s tiring.

Had also spoken to the photographer (Soon) that I’m intending to go Botanic Garden, take photo with blue sky & insert some scene with poker cards (Ronald’s favourite game). The whole session ends at ard 6pm after tentatively booked the date for gown fitting & photo shoot.

  • 6:00pm - Went to Hwang Kwang’s studio nearby to discuss on the Videography for actual day which cost $1188.00. Quality not bad…will consider it.
  • 9:30pm - Went to Sabrina’s grandpa funeral wake near my hse.

Hmm.. wat a busy & tiring day. I hope tomorrow will be a smooth & fine day.

Wedding Gown selection (18/3/08)

March 18th, 2008 by kitputt

Today, it’s out 1st time at the bridal studio (La Belle Couture). The assistant, Candy, let me try out some wedding gowns. I tried abt 10 wedding gowns. Hmm…how I feel it?? it’s my 1st time trying the gown!! Initially, I was abit exciting.

However, I dun have it at all when I was trying the gowns cos I dunno what I want & my partner doesn’t have much comments. Anyway, i have kept 2 wedding gowns as the top choice.

Then, we proceed to choose the evening gowns. I din try many compared to the wedding gowns…not very nice. Well, I have also picked 2 gowns ( a red & dark blue one).

Sian lah, can’t really make up & not so satisfied. Can’t continue anymore as it was getting late & I was hungry. Will go there another day with my sis to select & confirm the gowns.

One thing to commend…though my partner looked boring, at least he’s patient, he din make fussy & impatience face.

Wedding date 21/10/2008

January 20th, 2008 by kitputt

Today we had a meet-the-parents session @ Tung Lok Signature, Central, with his parents and my parents with my granny. Initially I was quite worried that my family will spoil the scene.

Luckily my mom didn’t ask for alot of things…only a roast pig with 8 oranges. I thought she will list out alot of things. My granny told me that initially my mom had alot of things to say but was ’scolded’ by Florence auntie that she is not in the position to make lots of requests. Also, my granny was there to ‘control’ my mom.

i’m very gald that it was over in a postive note though Ronald wasn’t feeling well. The lunch was quite experience..abt $300 for 7 pax.

We met the hotel banquet exec at Novotel Clarke Quay later at 5pm to discuss abt the banquet details and confirm the booking of the ballroom. OH YEAH!!! We have finally confirmed the date to hold our wedding ceremony on 21/10/2008.

Our dating anniversary: 01 Sep (can’t rem which yr)

His birthday: 7 Sep 1974

Wedding date: 21 Oct 2008

My birthday: 30 Oct 1978

Postpone item

January 15th, 2008 by kitputt

I thought it is very much confirmed that we are going to get registered on 12/2/08 for the main purpose to qualify for the HLE & get concession loan.

He called me this morning & told that he would like to postpone it to the same day as the customary date or till we manage to get a flat. He mentioned that he doesn’t have the confident that we will able to get a ‘ideal’ flat.

After hearing that, I smiled  :) …finally we are in the same frequency. We will have more time to prepare.

i like this phrase that he told me….Together, we will make it works.

Bridal Package

January 14th, 2008 by kitputt

Attended another wedding show on 13/1/08 @ Meritus Mandarin. It’s quite different from the one we attended the day before. Oh…it’s messy & chaotic.

The event was like a fashion event with 6 bridal show featuring their 8 gowns each. Frankly, the gowns looks the same & some are not nice.

Anyway, we are unable to book the hotel which was our main aim (no available dates & one of the ballroom will be undergoing renovation in Oct 08.

Nonetheless, we got another task done…ie. we had confirmed the bridal package from la Belle Couture @ $3988 ($2000 paid by 12 mths instalments) That is the 1st & only booth we looked at & yet we just confirmed with it without scouting around.

Anyway, the guy, Eddie, was friendly, professional & transparent. We tried to sqeeuze in as much things as we can to cover everything so that we no need to source the other stuffs. The package includes normal photos shoots, makeup artist/ photography/ wedding car on the actual day.

Good thing is that we had mentally prepared my husband-to-be that photo taking is not that easy..& need to go the studio at least 12 times.

I shall cross my finger that everything will go thr smoothly including sliming down, photo taking, banquet booking.

Anyway, I think we gotta have the soleminization soon on 12/2/08. Hope that we are able to secure the Justice of Peace for this event.

Next, we gotta find a flat liao. Actually it’s quite hard on him that he needs to juggle with work & lots of personal matters. Anyway we will support one another.

Today, we sent mass email to the hotels to source for the best available one. Luckily, they had responded to us so that we can make further planning.
